There’s a great program I use to design most of my graphics and splash pages. I used it to do the header for this blog too. OK, so it’s not the most intricate of designs, but it took me all of 5 minutes and will do for starters. (I prefer not to use the designs which come with themes etc – at least when I do my own, they really are unique.)
So, even though you may not have the slightest idea about html, and don’t have a clue about adding images etc, the system I use is so easy a child could do it.
What’s more, even if you do know the tech side of design, you can take advantage of the clipart, images and designs which are sitting there just waiting for you and make simple ads really quickly.
The program is AdKreator and it has been developed so that anyone can design their own splash pages, squeeze pages – also called lead capture pages (useful when you are building your list) – banners, headers and small graphics too.
For example – you can use a 125 x 125 banner on your webpage or blog to link through to another site. Here’s one pointing to the site where I get free websites:
and here is a text link to a splash page I have set up using AdKreator which goes to the same site: SEE EXAMPLE PAGE
(Both will open in new tabs and to demonstrate how they work, they will go to the site they represent.)
There is also an option to share your designs, so if you are building a team and fellow members also have AdKreator membership, you can let them have a copy of your work. They will just need to change the destination link to their own.
What alse is clever?
- Statistics – these are not very detailed, but you can see lifetime clickthroughs and ‘today’ stats.
- You can change the page colour which sits behind your design
- Tweet It, Like it
- Download it ready for uploading to your webpage. (That’s how I put the little one into this blog post.)
As a free member you can check how the system works and if you like it, upgrade to a monthly subscription.
And here is a banner AdKreator have provided for me:

So why don’t you pop over and have a good look round and experiment with your own designs.
